TAWHIAO'S ALLEGED MANIFESTO.

(by TELKGRArK. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Monday. A gentleman who arrived from the Waikato tliis afternoon informed the Star that Tawhiao repudiates the authorship of the manifesto attributed to him and published in the Auckland papers last week. Tawhiao is now staying at the Mercer Hot-el, and having been questioned by Mr Porter, the landlord, on the subject, lie denied all knowledge of the manifesto, and his secretary, Rawhiti, also declared that he knew nothing about it.
