Tho Club made a rr.rinrr<! to Professor Bi'owii, of Auckland P Diversity College, to visit the Waikato and deliver n series of instructive agricultural fuldressre. The matter was considered afc the last meeting of the .Board of Governors, who gave their sanction to Professor JJrown making wh:U arrangement?. Ik , , considered necessary to meet the wishes of the members of tho Club, conditionally on there being no interference with his regular duties at the College. If it can bo so •uanaged that Professor Brown will lie ill lie to make periodical visits to the fa'-uiins; centres of the Waikato for the purpose of giving lectures on
Mgricultural science and chemistry, it will be productive of much benefit to the community, and stimulate the the progress of the country. Groat efforts have been made for some time past to furnish this district with the advantages enjoyed by other competing countries and localities in the shape of technical education in connection with farming pursuits, and the interest taken in the subject by the Farmers' Club, and the influence brought to bear on the proper authorities, may be regarded as a step towards securing the establisment of an Agricultural College in the WaiUato, at some not distant date.
