Groat efforts have been made for some time past to furnish this district with the advantages enjoyed by other competing countries and localities in the shape of technical education in connection with farming pursuits, and the interest taken in the subject by the Farmers' Club, and the influence brought to bear on the proper authorities, may be regarded as a step towards securing the establisment of an Agricultural College in the WaiUato, at some not distant date.
