THE STRIKES.
(Mr F.I.ECTIUC TKLKC; It A I'H. — COPYRIGHT.) London, November 1!). The employees in the spike and nail manufactories, in Worcester and Stafford, have gone out on strike for higher wages. The brewing firms in Burton-on-Trent have conceded the, demands of the rnalsters, and the latter have resumed work. The General S3 team Navigation Company and the London and Coastwise Shipping Company threaten an early suspension of die coastal trade, owing to the action of the dock labourers. Tillett, chairman of the Laborers' Union, is organising the Hamburg dock labourers and inviting tlnmi to work with the London Union. A congress of the trade unions throughout Great Britain will meet in January next to elect a Federal Council.
The refusal of the clock clerks and foremen at Tilbury Docks to join the Union, as it was contrary to the agreement with the Company, is causing a strike of IGOO dock men in London.
The clock labourers have decided Lα close the Union on trance lists at mi early date.
