Ths auctioneer buckled to tho heavy work before him with a will, and seemed fit for any amount of it. We congratulate Mr McNicol on the success of his venture, which proves the suitability of Hamilton as a central market for the disposal of local stock, and trust be will organise periodical sales of a similar kind in the same yards. No little excitement was caused during the side, when Mr MeXicol's rough rider, S. Mason, mounted a young Ariel, a regular buck-jumper. After a short struggle Mason dismounted, and put, on another bridle, and gave the horsa another chance, to put him off, but all in vain. It w» considered th« bent bit of horsemanship that has been exhibited for some time, and the ridor was loudly cheered by tli« crowd.
