A SHOCKING OCCURRENCE.
(EV TKUSGRAIUI.— rEESS ASSOCIATION.) Maktkkton, Monday. A THUBK-YKAK-OLD daughter of Mr CiHiieroii, contractor, Inst her life hist night through tire, which broko out during the absence of her mother, who left her in bed, asleep, at half-past seven whilst visiting a relative close by. She was only absent a few minutes, ;i.nd on returning found the bed in flames. The child was nearly rousted, but was still alive. She lingered two hours. The house was burned down.
