LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
(by TELEGRAPH.-—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Monday. A lad, five years old, named Charles Henry Gallagher, whoso parents reside in Hnbson-street, was drowned from the Hob-son-street wharf.
The Auckland coasting cutter Elizabeth was driven ashore by a pale at Whangarei heady. The four people aboard reached tho shore safely.
News from Tonga reports repeated earthquakes of considerable severity at Haupai, though no damage was caused. They are supposed to be connected with tho volcanic eruption at Tofon Island.
