Mu I' 1 . Hicks, of Pukekura, has forwardod us the following letter, which he has received from tho Land and Loan Company in Napier, and which wo have much pleasure in publishing for general information \ —"Napier, 2nd November, IKS'.).— V. Hicks, Esq., Waikato Farmer's Club.— Dear Sir,—l see by the Hawkes Bay Herald to-day that you are endeavouring to make such arrangements with tho farmers in the Waikato re guaranteeing " freezers " as will induce Messrs Nelson to establish freezing works in the district. I notice that yon propose to buy sheep in Hawkes Bay and fatten them ill your district. I shall be glad to assist you in procuring tho sheep, if you will send me particulars of tho number required ; and as you speak of a large number doubtless the price can be arranged satisfactorily, especially if the demand is to be for a lengthened period. At present I have on my books 11 number of suitable sheep, and my stockagent is constantly riding about tho country, and is in a position to select sheep and make tho necessary arrangements with the sellers. I shall be glad to get full particulars from you, and trust business will result to our mutual satisfaction. — l'aithfully yours, F. C. Fui.ton, Managing Director.
