ACCIDENTS.
UN Wednesday afternoon a young child of Mrs Land's, Hamilton East, aged about one year and ten months, inflicted severe scalds on its face, neck and arms, by upsetting a, cup of boiling coffee over itself. l)r. Murch was called in, and allayed the pain of the little sufferer, who is now progressing very favourably. A daughter of Mr Annett, of Hamilton East, on Thursday afternoon was attacked by a dog, the property of her father, and before the animal could bo taken off ifc had severely bitten the child about the face, the nose being almost severed. The dog, which has previously shown symptoms of savageness, attacked the child, who at once ran away, but tho dog followed her up, and continued its attacks. Tho injured girl was brought over to Mr Sandes', and Dr. Murch was called in, and the wounds wore at once dressed. At latest, accounts the patient was making good progress.
