11)Y TELEGRAPH.— I'UKSS ASSOCIATION-.] Christohurch, Friday. At ten a.m. this morning the public reception of the Governor took place m Cathedral Square, the attendance being large. The volunteers formed a guard of honour, and addresses were delivered by the City Council and Orange institution, in both of which special reference was made to Lord Cranley's illness and recovery. The Governor attends the Liedertafel Gemschter Abend to-morrow night, and holds a levee on Monday morning.
