She reports that Mulietoa, the Kingelect has been dangerously ill, out is now in a fair way of recovery. Both the German and English consuls have been instructed to recognise Malietoa as king. Typhoid fever is prevalent at Samoa and twenty German sailors are down with it. A serious disturbance has occurred at Savnii between tho followers of Malietoa and ex-King Tamasose. The strength of each side was 300 and several were killed, while a number of others were injured, When the Lubcck left it was not known which .side won, H. M.s. ISgeria which was at Tonga has been ordered Home.
