FRANK LINCOLN.
This inimitable humourist gave an oxhibitiwn of his remarkable powers of mimicry to a, Hamilton audience last night. The audience was a tolerably good one, thong!) the entertainment deserved n crammed house ; those who were absent missed a treat they will perhaps nut come again across dnriug the rest of their lives, while those who were present will not soon forget Mir ftiu they enjoyed. It is difficult to Hud words to sufficiently describe the extraordinary Rift of imitation Mr Lincoln possesses. There does not appear to be anything under the sun in the shape of sound or expression of countenance that he cannot reproduce to the very life. He can delight the audience with the comic side, of ljfe on every phase. Imitations of the discordant sounds of a full Italian orchestra, tuning up, songs in German, French or Chinese, ridiculous pourtrayal of oratois of different nationalities, the croaking of a frog, the midnight melodies from the amovous cat, the nog or the buzzing mosquito, the notes of the Fieiieh horn, cornet or bass viol, all came from him with equal familiarity and exactness. He has a .-splendid and flexible voice, as well as a flexible face, and he performed every part with ease and grace. Amongst some of the best pieces he rendered last night, although ill) were good, wore the silent imitation of a young lady singer, tho negro sermon on Faith, "In the Gloaming" by a young bridegroom suffering from mal-de-mer, and the playing of a cornet. The audience was kept in a constant state of merriment, and could willingly have .spent another hour with this funniest of funny men. Mr Lincoln proceeded to Gisborne this morn-
