The Jury state in their Report: — " It is very satisfactory to be able to note in this connection that there was a remarkable concensus of opinion as to the merits of the exhibits, often amounting to unanimity, and this even when the members were blinded, which was fre<(iu'Jit)y done. Many of the ales of all kinds were very line, and those which were 'off' were such as were very unlikely to have taken a plaeo in any case ; in fact, the survival of the fittest has been effected by natural selection."
