Scnooi.lN'Si'KCTKtx.—Tho Alexandra Public School examination took place horo last week, Mr Fidler, School Inspector, conducting the examination. Tho school consists of 59 pupils, of these 22 are under ago, and ono exempt from non-attendance. Thirtyfour were presented for standards, and out of these only two failed and thirty-two passed, which gives a percentage of upwards of 01.1 passes, a result on which our schoolmaster, Mr C. K. Cornforth may fairly be congratulated. The Kawhia road is now impassable, the floods being higher than any time during the last winter.
