Potatoes have been in much better demand, and more cnuld have been sold ; seed lots have been all cleared out ; unions remain scarce ; new potatoes ate coining in plentifully ; voce tables of most kinds have been scarcegrain generally has been quiet; hams and bacon have been quitted at late values ; cheese, a fair quantity of new make has come to hand, and all has been cleared out at food prices; honey remains quiet; outter, fresh in large supply, many poor lots prices have ruled low ; ogg-, good supply, improvement in value, demand unsatisfied. In the fruit department apples, lemons, etc., havo been in fair supply at miod prices; a large shipment of bananas and coeoanuts was sold at satisfactory priors. 11l the poultry department prices ruled higher than usual for all kinds entered. Piers were also in large numbers ; prices ruled lower.
