Mil Alex. Aitkkn's Market Repout fur the wool: ending September 28. —Tin; .salon for the week have been well attended, with spirited competition. Poultry still commands high prices. Potatoes have come freely to hand; table lots are in active demand at improved value. Carrots, pumpkins, and other vegetables have been in Rood supply at satisfactory rates. In fram there hay been but little dono at late prices. New potatoes still command good rates. Bacon and hams have been quitted in fair quantities. Cheese continues very scarce, and values remain firm. Honey is still dull of sale. Fresh butter in increased supply, but values lower. Eggs also show a slight decline. Corned butter still remains a drug, and stocks are large. In fruit a fair quantity was entered. Apples sold at higher prices. Oranges : a quantity of local grown sold fairly well; no lemons received.
