His breeding is undeniably good. On his dam's side he has the celebrated Traducer blood ; on his sire's he has Dainty Ariel by Riddlesworth, while Fanny Fisher is by the celebrated Fisherman.
Billingsgate is a dark bay horse, with black points, standing 16 hands 2 inches, with plenty of bone and substance. He was bred 'by the late W. Walters, Esq., of Papakura. While on the turf he proved himself the fastest milcr of his day. He started in G6 races, winning 32 ; second, 14; and third 10 times.
