THE DOCK STRIKES
(ISY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. - COPYRIGHT.) London, Septembßr 18. The dock riots were suppressed by the police before any great liarui was done. No fatalities occurred. The directors of the companies have determined to retain the blacklegs. Mr Tillttt, cliairuiiin of the Labourers' Union, deprecates violence.
The work at the docks is proceeding quietly, except at the Albert Docks, where the Unionists refuse to work with the blacklegs.
Lord Mayor Whitehead and Cardinal Manning urge the strikers to fulfil the terms of the agreement. September 19.
Eight hundred men are now working at the Albert clock, and no further trouble has arisen.
