In the Supreme Court to-day, in the case for partition of land at Ohinemuri, purchased jointly by A. J. Thorp, and John Buchanan, His Honour decided that the decree will be for partition so that plaintiff tiikes GKi acres and two-thirds of an acre bounded by a line drawn from the N.K boundary of Takapau. At the Supreme Court this afternoon, Mr Whitaker moved that a deed of composition re the bankruptcy of George I'raser, junr., and William Fraser be approved. He stated that the creditors who approved of the composition formed a majority of soventy-seven, including fifty-five workmen, while there were only seven dissentients, and argued that the majority should not be bound by the opposition of a small minority. Mr Cooper opposed the agreement on the ground that the Bankruptcy Act required that all wages should be paid in full. The question was argued at considerable length, and His Honour reserved judgment.
