Ik'CKt.AM) and SONS' WKKKI.Y Rbi'OUT.—At the Haymarket during the past week fodder has ranged from 2s 3d to 3-! 3s the cwt; maize, 2s 8d ; oats, 2s (id to 3s 2d ; wheat, 3a the bushel ; chaff, £3 us to £4 the ton. At the horse sale on I' riday heavy draught horses were in improved demand ; prices ranged from £13 to £2o; other descriptions of horse stock at late values. On Tuesday hides and skins were pitched in full numbers; prices well sustained, particularly for wool and skins. Ox hides ranged from 3£d to 4.\d; cow hides, 2d to 2§d; calfskins, 4d to lid the lb. Skins were in brisk enquiry, and ranged from 4gto 6s Id each ; lambs' skins, fldandlOd each; tallow 15s Cd to 17s <><' the cwt; oil, 2s 5d the gallon. At the regular monthly sale at Waiuku, hold on Saturday last, cattle were in larger numbers than usual, and prices were not equal to those obtained at the previous months market. Household furniture and goneral farm produce were also disposed of. At Remuera, on Thursday, the dairy cattle yarded were of indifferent quality. Prices ranged from £2 to £3 10s each. Three and a-half-year steers advertised, brought an average of £3 12s Gd. Fat calves, short of requirements, sold freely. Fat cattle, in less than usual number, were better worth, and firm at last week's quotations, 10s to 18s the 1001b. Fat sheep, in short supply, also advanced about 13 each. Fat lambs sent were of variable quality, and ranged from 5s to 14s Gd each. Pigs, in moderate number, lcopt their values. We quote: Oats, at from 2s 8d to 3sj maize, 2« !)d to 2s lid ; bran, £4 10s to £5 per ton. Horses were in averago supply, and an improved domand existed. There remained an unsatisfied inquiry for those of a good stamp, and purchasers were forthcoming at fully previous values. About the usual number were submitted by auction on Friday at the Durham Yards. Bidding was fairly brisk throughout, and most of the lots were cleared, although but few strangers put in an appearance. We quote : Hacks, from i's 10s to £11; light harness and medium draught, £5 10s to £IG. Wool, hides, skins, &o.: Average qualities met steady demand at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and the previous week's values were maintained. We quote: Ox hides, from 2:£ d to -tijd ; cow, 2d to per lb ; calfskins, 2.\d to 4|d per lb; sheepskins, 2s to 6s 4d each fwool, in bags, 7j|d to S.{d per lb. Cattle: A steady demand existed for fat and store stock, with little or no alteration in value, ttiero being sufficient of all descriptions for requirements. Average numbers were yarded at both Newmarket and Pukekoiie. Dairy cows were in slack demand, but stores and fat beasts were well competed for at fcho previous week's values.
