The Jubilee. —Tho Jubilee Goldmininß Company's plant will bo formally opened ono day next week. This plunt is situated at Waitekauri, and has been erected by Mr Kersey Cooper on the mine known as the Jubiloo Special Claim. Waitkkaum.—Mr Howell.of Waioronpromai, accompanied by Mr H. H. Adams, made a visit to Waitekauri dnrinK last week, to inspect the Waitekauri Company's Vine and other properties there. There is likely to bo a stir at Waitekauri this summer. (tenkhal Mining News.—At Karangahake, Mr A. Shepherd, of the Kenilworth mine, has about 8 tons of ore to grass of the extraordinary value of £230 per ton. In the Crown mine about 40 hands are enK.ißad, and tho Cassell Gold Extraction Company's plant on tho ground is very near completion. It is to be hopod this plant will bo successful. After so many failures one is somewhat afraid to prophecy on prima facio evidence, but, sr.) far, everything has worked well, and tho plant appears likely to do all that was expected of it. The Waihi Goldmining Company is erecting a thirty-stamp battery on the same principle as that at Te Aroha.
