Of course Mr Wild requires no parting panegyric from this place to recommend him as a terror to your evildoers and larrikins, but it is only fair to say of him that in tho exerciso of his duties here he in variably displayed praiseworthy discretion and unobtrusive efficiency as an officer.
Railway Tiiai'fjc.—During the last ten in , twelve diiyp this terminus lias presented quite a busy appearanco by the presence of so great a number of trucks and waggons. Main , Road. —In conseqnenco of the exceedingly heavy traffic which this deservedly much abused road has to bear, its condition is a disgrace. Should the present traffic over it of (lax, coal and coke continue, it will become simply dangerous to travel over. In places near the township it has boon patched up with available town funds, but as those are about exhausted and the trade has only commenced, the prospect is alarming. Bun.nixc; Thadk.—The deunnd for carpenters' labour is on tho increase here. Several new buildings are in course of erection.
