The Waikato Times Office, Monday. AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. Mr Alex. Aitukn's Mahket Rei'out for the week ending August 23. —The sales of product) have beon very satisfactory, and good quantities of most kinds have been quitted. Poultry has been in large supply, all pens filled ; prices were satisfactory. Potatoes : Large supply of local lots ; the demand has been brisk, values are easier. Onions : Local are done ; consignments of Californian to hand in prima condition ; have arrived to a good market, and most have been cleared. Vegetables have ruled lower. Bacon and hams full supply ; values unchanged. Butter, fresh, in large supply ; fully half-a-ton received this week, which sold at about previous values. Corned butter remains unchanged, really fine quality, none. Eggs: Further increased supply ; values lower, good demand. Honey is slow of sale owing to the low price of butter. Apples in good supply; prices have been satisfactory, although in sumo cases not so high as those of last week. Tuesday's and Friday's produce sales were largely attended, with satisfactory results. The following are the prices obtained : — Fowls ; Poor and old lots, Is 3cl to Is -Id ; good ordinary, Is 5d to 2s Id ; roosters, in condition, Is 7d to 2s 3d ; small, Is 4d to Is 5d ; Spanish, 2s to 40s; Langshans, Is Od to 3s ; Plymouth Rocks, Is lid to 5s fid ; game, -Is to 45s each : ducks, 2s 3d to 2s 7d ; ducklings, Is Id ; geese, 3s 7d ; turkeys, light, 2s (5d to 3s, heavy 4s2d to 5s Cd ; pigs, suckers 4s to 4s 9d, medium, 5s to 5s Od, others 7s 0c! to 13s Gd.
