Hamilton West School Girls v. Tamahere. Tub above match was played on Saturday hist in one of Mr B. Ewen's paddocks, Tamahere, which was kindly placed at their disposal by that Rentleninn, and resulted in a win for Hamilton by 7*l runs. Messrs Edwards and H. Sage umpired for Tamahere and Hamilton, resoectvvely. Tha Hamilton Rirls left about 11.15 a.m. on Saturday morning, and arrived at Tamahere and started playing a little before 1 o'clock. Hamilton West went to the wickets first, F. Logie, A. .Tolly, J. Kdgecumbe and L. l'arr playing in good style. In the second innings /\. Jolly and F. Logie contributed -10 runs between them. As regards the fielding, the Hamilton girls did thoir part in a most creditable manner. A. Jolly's bowling was again very effective, and l'\ Logie must not bo forgotton, as she certainly did her share of the work. For the Tamahere school, A. Kirk, although not scoring very high figures, was certainly the best all-round player, licr bowling was very good, and for the short time she was at the wickets it was seen she handled her bat in good style. After the first innings of the Hamilton girls a luncheon was provided, and at the completion r.f the game a tea was given. It must be mentioned that a good deal of interest was manifested by the on-lookers, and great kindness shown towards the visitors, which we trust will not be forgotten when the return match is played here. A very pleasant day was spent, all thoroughly onjoying themselves. The following are the scores Hamh.ton.—M. Elliott, Ist innings, 2; 2nd innings, 1: S. liarvvooiJ, 5, 3; l'\ (Jraham, 0, 1; F.
