Joseph Taylor, who has been lately getting considerable gold in dredging a claim at the North Beach, on Thursday cleared a piece of ground for fixing his cataract pump, which arrived a few days ago. This grab was working seven hours, and the return was 40ozs. of amalgam, which was nearly half gold. The return was enough to pay the month's expenses. A private cable message reports the finding of the body of W. 0. Kennedy in Sydney harbour. The deceased was well-known in cricket and athletic circles and was the soa of Sheep-Inspector Kennedy, of Waipawa.
