THE CHEMIS CASE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. Mrs Richardson, wife of the Minister of Lands, deposed to visiting Mrs Chemis with licr two daughters. It was her usual practice to carry si notebook. She had taken an active part in getting up a petition in favour of Chemis. She was greatly surprised to hear she was supposed to be on the sido of the police. She believed Chemis to bo innocent, and was trying to prove his innocence.
