The Waikato Times Office, Friday. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Messrs A. Buckland and Sons' Weekly Report.—During the past week fodder has ranged from 2s (id to 3s Gd; machine pressed, 4s to 4s Gd the cwt. ; carrots, 30s; potatoes, 70s; chaff, GOs to 80s; _coarse bones, 100s ; fine bonebust, 130s to 150s tho tin ; maize, 2s Bd, 2s 9d, and 2s lOd ; oats, 2s 3d to 3a 4d the bushel. The 20 deer sold at auction from 4s to Bs, and the balance at 7s each. At the horse sale, on Friday, prices for useful horses ranged from £6 to £11. Set double harness brought, £4 15s ; single sots, £2 and £2 17s Gd ; and a spring cart, £G 10s. At the hide and akin sale, on Tuesday, prices wore firm ; best ox hides reached 3d 15-lGths; cow hides, ; calfskins, s|d the lb; sheepskins, in good demand; butchers' skins ranged from 3s Gd to 5s lid ; station skins, 3s 9d to 4s 9d each ; wool, G|d the lb; tallow, lGs Gd the Messrs Hunter and jNolans Weekly Report.— Hoiso feed, seeds, grain : Stocks are large, and tho demand has been weak, at the previous week's quotations. Horses : Thore has existed an active demand for those of a good stamp in both light and heavy horses, and a slightly upward tendency in valuo. About an average number were entered for sale by auction at the Durham yards on Friday. Competition was good throughout the sale, and nearly all tho lots found purchasers at an advance on tho previous week's quotations. Hacks, .EG to £12 Gs ; light harness horses from £5 10s to I'll 15s ; medium draught, £0 10s to £16 os. Wool, hides, sheepskins : Supplies of hides have been large, and the demand lacked strength, but there was no noteworthy alteration in prico of those sold by auction at the Durham yards on Tuesday as compared with the previous week. Sheepskins sold at from 3s 6d to os lOd each. Cattle : There has been an increased supply and active demand, an upward tendency in the value of stores, while dairy and fat stock have maintained their value. There was an good muster at both Newmarket on Tuesday and Pukekohe on Wednesday; competition was brisk throughout both sales. Dairy cows were at previous week's values; stores in demand at os per head advance on young stock, and 10s on grown steers. Beef: The same average value as the previous week, but prices fluctuated from 13s to 18s. Some averages were : £7 15s, £7 0s Gd, £G 12s Gd, £6 10, £0 7s Gd, £6 2s Gd, £5 ISs, £5 13s, £5 Bs, £1 10s; cows, £5, £4 12s Gd, £4 ss, £3 12s Gd. Sheep: A good many were penned at Newmarket on Tuesday, and prices were a shade higher than on the previous week at per stone. Wethers sold at from 12s to 16s 9d ; ewes, 0s Gd to 30s. Pigs : a moderate number were yarded. Good porkers sold at 3d per lb live weight; coarse were relatively lower.
