THE PAYNE FAMILY.

This celebrated family appeared before a Cambridge audience on Tuesday evening, in the Public Uall, which was crammed from floor to ceiling, and, indeed, many were turned awny, as there was not room to accommodate them. Two of the family—Miss Nellie and Mr Payne, senr. — were absent, through indisposition, and a third, Miss Maud, was unable to sing a solo, as she was suffering from a cold. The audif.nco were greatly disappointed at not heaving the whole company, and we would strongly advise Mr Pnynn to- pay Gambridge another visit when the sufferers have recovered, for we feel sure another bumper house awaita them, as a number of the coantry settlers were prevented from coming by the rain.
