SUICIDE OF A CAPTAIN.
(BY TELEGRAPH.-—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, Monday. J. B. Dat.e, formerly the captain of schooner Frank Guy, committed suicido by shooting himself with a revolver last night. He was living by himself, and hi's been suffering from low spirits. On the table was found a letter saying he preferred going to hall than to where ranting, howling Salvationists wore to be found. Ho said ho did not dread the future.
