PAKURANGA HOUNDS.
Ahout sixty person* on horseback, besides several buggies, attended the moat on Thursday, the goud muster owing no doubt In the bcautitiil day, and to it boing recognised, that Hautapu affords the best day's hunting in Waikuto, The hounds threw off in the school paddock, and quickly picking up the scent, we had a splendid drag through the farms of Met-srs Pa-ton, Russell, Lang, Smith, and others, with several ladies and about forty tior.temen following over some good hunting country, We had several short runs afterwards across the adjoining farms, but each time tho hare esoapod in the gullies and swamp; but at last we found one in Mr Allwill's, which took us out in the country, and across the road several times, tho fence* hero affording good jumping to those who were not already satisfied. After crossing about half-a-dozen fields, the hare was eventually killed on the road, tho hniuids having run splendidly. As it, was getting on for four o'clock, we turned homeward, all .satisfied with tlieday'.s hunt, and everyone expressing it, by saying "It was the bast day's sport we ever had in Waikato after the Pakuranga Hounds."
