The country cattle sales, held respectively at Pukokohe on Monday and Papakura on Wednesday, were fully attended ; quiet cows, forward in calf, ranged from flOs to 80s, and young cattle were in demand. At Remuera on Thursday, dniry cattle were in demand. J , rices ranged from JM to t'">l2eod; store cattle were also in request; fat. cattle, in less than usual numbers, wero better worth 5s ouch ; prices ranged from 14s to IBs the 1001b. Sheep, in full number, kept last week's values ; fat ewes, from 10s to 13s Gd ; wethers, 13s to 178 ; the ewes in lamb, 11s M ; fat shorn lambs, 8s to Os; in their wool, 10s to 12s ; shorn store lambs, Cs 3d each. Coarse pigs at moderate prices, but well-bred pigs sold satisfactorily. We quoto feed oats froin 2s 0d to 3s ; seed oats, from 3s to 3s 3d nor bushel ; lUiiizo, 8s to 3s 2d ; bran, £5 10s to £(i per ton. Hurses : There has boon nothing reinaikable in the market during the week. An average number of an ordinary stamp wero brought forward and found purchasers at the previous week's values, but no really good horses were disposed of. There was about the usual muster at the Durham yards, but ■very few of a good class ; the best lots were well computed for, and most of them changed hands. We quote bucks at from £,"> to £10 l--)s ; liilit hiirness horses from £5 10s to £12. Won!, hides and skins: Large quantities were brought forward at the Durham yards on Tuesday, but a great many of the hides were badly cured, rind consequently did not realise the price they would hiivo otherwise done. There was a moderate muster at, the Newmarket yards on Tuesday. The previous week's values for dairy and store stock wore fully maintained, and there was an upward tendency in the value of fat beasts, 17s per IOOIbs. for top stores having been realised.
