This morning the coasting uuttnr Nellie returned from a week'.-; trawling cruis; about Cape Colville, and in and out of the gulf, with a fairly good haul of about three tuns nt schnapper, (hit fi<h, trevalli, moris, etc. She would have been more successful bst fur bad weather, whhh retarded trawling work. The Mararoa, last trip, took 70 tons of frozen fish to Melbourne.
At the Board of Kdncati'in, to-day, a letter, was received from the chairman »f the upper Waikato School Committee complaining that schools in that di-tiict had not been inspected, as provided for by the Act, and complaining of the injury likely t> result to the schools from such want»f inspection. Mr Upton said that this was an importint letter, aud opened up a question whether the Board wan acting rightly in leaving uninspected about 100 of the schools under the B>ord. The Board must, however, defer the matter till a full Board could be present. Tins course was agreed t«. Tho Te Arnlm committee applied to the Board for assistance to hava the damage, done by tho recent (.'ales repaired. It was decided that the committee should bo a«Ued to do this work themselves.
