A fikk broke out at one o'clock this morning in Glen-Morningion, by which Carrie's general store and dwelling house attached, aiso a four-roomed cottage adjoining, were destroyed. Win. Trimble, a farmer, was found drowned in a creek on his farm at Wataliuhu. pie had been despondent for some time, and it is believed to be a case of suicide. WEST PORT, Wednesday. The. (Jape Kouhviiid labour dilliculty has been settled. The contractors agree to the Union's terms, namely, that all employees on the works must be Union men. and the standard rate of wages will be paid. An agreement to this effect was signed. Non Unionists will be eligible for admission into the Union.
