Lecitrk isy Tin-: Ri-:v. Mr Gahi.axii.— Mr Garland will deliver his lecture on "Character" in the I'ublic Hall here 011 Monday evening. The well-established reputation of Mr Garland as a lecturer, and the anility and versality he displays in handling any subject, should prove a groat attraction to the people of this _ neighbourhood. The young people especially should hear something on a subject of so much importance, for they will receive a great deal of sound advice which should prove useful to them in the battle of life. Besides the attractive character of the lecture there will alto be the additional attraction of good singing, and lastly, the charge for admission is very low, being only a shilling, and half-price for children.
