FATAL ACCIDENT TO A BOY.
A shocking accident took placc at the raib way briiice over SLokes gully, near L'rankton, on Tuesday afternoon, by which a -y, named Benjamin Allan Edwards, ten years of age, was instantaneously killed. It appears that the deceased, with a younger brother, were crossing the biidge from one side of the gully to the other, and running along from sleeper to sleeper, when he lost his footing and fell into the creek below, a distance of ninety feet. Mis brother ran home and informed his mother of the accident, and assistance was procured. Messrs JLankius and T. Mayes made their way to the creek, and picked up the unfortunate boy, who was quite dead. Dr. Murch, who iiappaned to Lie passing, was informed, anil on examining the. body found the boy's neck had been broken. The police had the body conveyed to the Coil'mercial Hotel, where an inquest was held yesterday.
