Mr Digman presented seven petitions from Auckland, praying for the repeal of the Contagious Disease Act. An Act to amend the Public Reserves Act, was read a first time. The following Bills were road a second time:— Napier High School Board Leases Validalion Hill, Tiiennial Licensing Committee Mill, and West land and Nelson Native Reserves Act, ISS7 Amendment Bill. The Council rose at 3.30 till to-morrow.
