HOUSE-BREAKING AT PAEROA.
A cask of supposed house-breaking took place at Paeroa last woek on tho premises of Mrs James Shaw, draper of Normanby road. Mrs Shaw and her assistant, Miss Moore, retired to bed about 12 o'clock and shortly after heard a window in the kitchen open and some person get in. As soon as possible Mrs Shaw dressed, :\nd going out through the shop fetched assistance, but on her return the housebreaker had decamped. Several unconsidered trifles have been snapped up recently. It is sincerely hoped that the To Atoha burglars have not invaded our township.
