At the country cattle sales, held respectively at l'okeuo and Drnry, tlm severe wuitthnr occasinned n Hmall muster of stock ; those brought forward were freely competed fur to full values. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were dull of sale. Prices for cows at calving ranged from £2 to £0; dry cows, from los to 30s. Fat cattle, in full supply, wore better worth fully os each, good xteer.s were steady at 17s the 1001b. Eighty steers received from Waiknto averaged .£l! ; 100 from Waitara, iIG 12s Oil. Sheep were also penned in full numbers, and last week's quotations of 3d the lb. was fully unstained. Wethers from 13< to 20 : ewes, 9s t-i 14s lid each ; lamos. 10s to lis Od. IV?, gonerally of a coarse description, wore plentiful, and sold better for several ni.u'ketrf. G;il scarcely obtained the extreme prices of tho past two markets, and a box of fowls brought Is fid earh. Horses : A g .od many have been again brought forward, and there was an improved demand. Strange horses were particularly sought after, and prices were in favour of tlia soller as compared with tho previous week. There was a good muster for sale the hammer on Friday at the Durham Yards. Bidding was spirited, particularly for the drawsrht from (iisborne, which were all disposed of, although expectation of -endors Ci'iultl not be reached. Wool, hides, skins, and tallow : There were barely average quantities pitched, and a large proportion were rough and bad conditioned, (rood suiind ox were at the previous week's values, but inferior sold relatively lower.
