Mb Bayldon, mining engineer and surveyor, who proceeds to England, in conversation yesterday with the Star representatative, stated his strong belief in the future of the Thames district. He says there is plenty of gold and other minerals; the auriferous area is very large, and what is wanted is thorough prospecting, with the best appliances for getting gold and saving it. Capital is wanted for this, and foreign capital must be introduced. Capitalists are shy at present owing to the number of failures that have been made, chiefly through ignorance.
