WAIKATO WHEAT.

TO THE EDITOR. Slh, — Nearly every man, woman and child in the Waikato lives by farming as much as if ho or she held the plough. The prosperity nf tl,u Waikato entirely depends on the prospDiity of its ngiieultiire. For the hist two or three years there has been a tolerably successful attempt made to grow wheat in the district. This year some of Ihe wheat was slightly damaged by a heavy rain at harvest time. Home .if the wheat was secured before the ram, and the whe.it that received the rain is not so much damaged as was expected. That it can b<! made into very good Hour is proved by the excellence of rim Hour from the Te Awaiuutu mill. The largest consumption of Waikato wheat on,'iit lo have been at the Auckland Holler .Mill. 1 understaud that the manager steadily ret uses to buy any Waikato wheat because of the damage some of it sustained in harvest. That this excuse is untenable is seen by the excellence of i.ho To Awauiutullour. As the prosperity of :ill classes in the Waikato depends entirely on the prosperity of its farming, this boycotting of Waikato wheat at the Roller Mill should be met by a, determined boycotting of the Roller Mill flour in the whole of the Waikato district. 1 say to the Waikato people, do not resc with thinking that this would be a well-deserved retaliation, but do it and do it at ouce.— Yours, &c, Pito Bono Waikato.
