A GENTLE REMINDER.
The Bpliner Borsen Kurier states that a fow d:iys ago the Einperor appeared at six o clock in the morniug at tho barracks of a certain Berlin regiment, Six o'clock wrs tho hour fixed for instruction. The Emperor was punctual, but the offieor was not. The einperor waited patiently, walked up and down tho drillground till the captain, whose feelings on seeing his Majesty may better be imagined than described, arrived. Tho Emperor then requester! that tho lesson should take place. When it was finished tho officer reported to his colonel what had occurred, and went back to his rooms prepared for the worst. All day hn waited anxiously, but nothing happened. Knowing with what rapidity all military affairs are man, aged in the Gerniau army, ho went to bed lost in amazement, but thinking tho sentence for his fault must bo worse even than ho imagined, as it was so long coining. The next morniug he wont about his duties as usual, and when he got home to his horror, he found the Emperor Chamberlain waitiner to see him. He had brought a packet from tho Einperor which, when opened, contained—an alarum.
