The road would not be much used for some time as the lake would bo a highway fol the settlers. By a deviation of about thrve miles a good road jould be got which would take little expense to maintain. It, would also bo nccessaiy a bridge over the Matahura creek. The Engineer reported on this matter to the same efFoci.— The Chairman moved that the. engineer be instructed to prepare plans for a bridge over the Matahura, and survey a deviation for a road to the Matahura, and call for tenders for several small works in the district.—Seconded by Cr.
