He was immediately attacked by five members, who pummelled him with their fists and tore his hair. M. Andrieux, member for the Rhone Department, drew his revolver. London. June 20. Before the Times-Parnell Commission Dr. Kenny, admitted that large sums of money had been sent to James Walsh, that the National League had received £248,000, but lie was unaware that the books produced showed that £117,000 was unaccounted for. The French Government decline to sign the Egyptian Convention unless England agrees to the evacuation of Egypt. The railway officials concerned in the Armagh accident are under their trial. The Imperial Government have declined to discuss the question of tho evacuation of Egypt with France, and the convention is therefore broken off. Mr Sexton, M.P., examined before the Parnell Commission, was unable to account for the missing funds of the League. He deposed that boycotting was a necessary evil. Sir James Hannen censured Mr Harrington for attempting to evade questions instead of answering them. The English wheat market shows a general advance of sixpence, the Continental is changing for the better, and the American is advancing. London, June 28. The Rev. J. F. Chevasse. of Oxford, states lit! will seriously consider the appointment to the primacy of Australia if offered him.
The Jockny Club liave finished taking evidence in the case Sir Goo. Chetwynd against Lord Durham, and have reserved their decision.
