The nobleman hero mentioned is Alexander William Georgo Duff, K.T., Hurl of Fife, in the peerage of Ireland. He was born in LSW, and succeeded to the title in 187!). Princess Louise, the eldest daughter of tho Prince and Princess of Wales, was born 20th February, 18(i7, and is, therefore, the junior of her intended husband by eighteen years.
