(nv EI.ECTItIC TULECUIAI'H.— COL'YHIGHT.) Sydney, June 21. At an early hour this morning Constable Slater surprised a burglar at the residence of Mr Justice Stephens. He closed with the man in a desperate struggle. Two accomplices came up and shot the constable twice in the shoulder, and all_ three escaped. The constable is in a serious condition. June 2G. One of the burglars who shot Constable Slater yesterday morning has been arrested.
