ROAD TO WHATAWHATA.

TO THK KDITOIt.

Slit, —Through the means of your journal I would lay before the public and the Newcastle Highway Board the dangerous state of the bridge over Blackwater Creek on the outskirt of my farm, having two rotten planks with holes in them, and in other ways dangerous. Also a culvert on the road towards Whatawhata, which was torn up three months ago by an engine and threshing machine attempting to pass over it. We had to chuck it out. Having my wheat ready for market, I shall have some heavy carting, and hope the Board will see the repairs are done at once. —I am, &c,

TltOS. IiOTHWBLL Whatawhata, 20th June, ISS9.
