The Waikato Times AND THAMES VALLEY GAZETTE.

TUESDAY,JUNE, 1880.

Equal and exact justice to all men, Oi' whatsoever state or persuasion, religious or political.

Tti 13 progress of the dairy industry in tho Waikato lias been very satisfactory since its initiation on tho factory and separator system, less than two years ago. It has taken a firm hold on the farmers, and with none so much as with the settlers in the Cambridge district, who are displaying an active and practical inteivst in this, with as much spirit as they have been exhibiting in other matters of importance to them. The admirable example set by Mr 11. Reynolds, of Messrs Reynolds and Co., who have established a proud reputation for their product, and the liberal, straight-forward manner in which ho lias met the farmers, have done much towards promoting the industry amongst us. One of the first essentials towards success was secured by Mr Reynolds, namely, public confidence, and which is in no danger of being shaken. The report of the meeting held on Saturday at Cambridge is full of interest as well as instruction, and the element of fairness which pervades the whole of the rules proposed by Reynolds and Co., will, we are convinced, coinmend them to all parties concerned. Space does not allow us to say more on (he subject at present, but we oiler these few remarks by way of congratulation on the evidence shown of the good feeling and satisfaction that exist amongst the producers and the iirm, thus ensuring the highest hopes for the prosperity of dairying in the Waikato.
