WALKER'S GULLY BRIDGE.

TO Tins EDLTOK. Slli, —Seeing iu yesterday's WaiicAToTi.mus ail advertisement calling a public meting of ratepayers ot the I'ukekura Koad district, to consider a proposal of the Waipa County Council, asking the Koad Board's help in erecting Walker's Cully Bridge, I hope the ratepayers will roll up at the meeting, and protest against the proposal to assist, seeing it is a part of the County's work to re-build the bridge. Ratepayers for several years have been heavily rated by the Council, and if they would only give the Road Board the control of the county roads in the riding, they would make and keep their own bridges, Sc., in hotter repair than they are at present.—l am, yours, Sc. K.J. Cambridge West, sth June, ISS'J.
