MksshsA. Biokland and Sons' Weekly Rkpokt.— At the Haymarket during the past week loose fodder was in usual supply. Meadow hay brought from Is i)d to 2s 9d ; oaten sheaves, 2s (id to 3s !)d the cwt; oats, 2s 10d ; maize, 3s Id to 3s 4d ; wheat, 3s 2d the bushel ; chaff, £3 os the ton. At the horse sale held on Saturday the unbroken horses were in condition and sold satisfactorily. Two-year-old colts and fillies of medium strength brought from £0 to £9 each ; other descriptions of horses were at late values. On Tuesday hides find skins were pitched in full numbers, and prices fully sustained. Best heavy ox brought Tigd and the lb, or from 33s to 37s each ; good medium ox, 22s to 2(>s each ; tallow, from 14s 3d to Ills Od the cwt. Sheepskins were better worth, and prices ranged from lOd to 4s 4d each, the greater number from 2s (id to 3s each. At the cattle sale held at Pukekohe on Monday a larger muster of cattle than usual at this season were yarded. There was a steady demand throughout tli9 sale and every lot quitted. At Fapakura on Wednesday a small muster also obtained ready buyers. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows giving milk or near calving were eagerly competed fur, and extreme values obtained for them. Store cattle at 1 ito values. Fa* cattle in moderate number ; heavy weights better worth; light weights at last week's prices, los the 1001b was obtained for steers, and 12s to 13s for C iws. Calves plentiful ; sold freely, Fat sheep in moderate number; sold at last week's values. Few lambs yarded. Pigs of good quality were required, but coarse store pigs were scarcely saleable.

The demand was steady for grain and horse feed, without any material alteration in value, but owing to the lateness of the season, grass seeds wore unsaleable, except at very low figures. Wo quote : Feed oats, 3s to 3s 3d ; dun oats, 2s lOd to 3s; bran, £5 10s to £0' 10s per ton ; oaten chatf, £3 10* per ton ; ryegrass, 2s (id to -Is (id per bushel ; cocksfoot, 3s Id to -Is per bushel. Horses : There was about the usual number entered for disposal by auction at tho Durham Yards on Saturday, the sale being postponed until that (lay on account of the holiday, but, as usual on change of days, a short amount of business was done. We quote: Hacks, £,". to £13 10s; light harness horses, from £o ~>s to £12 10 , Wool, hides, skins, etc. : About tho usual quantities were pitched on Tuesday at. the Durham Yards. There was a steady demand at the previous week's values. Wo quote : Ox hides, 3Ad to od per lb ; cow, 2.} d to 3|d ; calfskins, 3d to 4yd ; sheepskins, Is lid to 3s !lcl; pelts, Od to Is Gd each ; lambskins, 2s to 2s 9d each. Cattle: The supply him been an average one. Tho demand for good dairy cows at their profit has continued luisk, but for fat and store stock was slack. There was less than the usual number yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday. (iooil milkers were well competed for, but for other descriptions bidding was slack : — Dairy cows sold at from £4 to £7 7s (id each ; ox beef, 12s to los per 1001b ; cows, lis to 13s. Koine averages were: —Steers, .£ I, £-1 os. £4 12s (id, £•"> 0s (id, £5 7s (id, £5 15s, £(i 5s ; cows, £2 Ilia, £2 17s, £3 10s, £3 l!)s, £4, £4 os. Sheep : There was a fair muster at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday. The demand was steady at a slight advance on the previous week's value at per stone, although 13s Od was the highest price reached for wethers, and for ewes from 7s i)d to 10s Ud each ; lambs, 7s to 9s (id. Pigs: A moderate number were yarded, dairy fed sold at from 2.W to 3d per lb live weight; coarse store relatively lower.
