QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY AMUSEMENTS.

To-Moititow, the Queen's birthday, will be observed with the usual rejoicings, and if the weather continues tine thero should be general holiday-making. The chief attraction in the district will be the Birthday Gymkana at Claudelands, Hamilton, for which an excellent programme of foot and horse racing has been provided, and should attract a largo attendance. A rink carniv.il will be held in tne Publie Hall, Hamilton West, in the evening, and is looked forward to as likely to afford great amusement. llaces at Churchill will be held, and will, no doubt, provide an outlet for the pleanirable inclinations of the settlers in that neighbourhood.
