THREE WEEKS' ABUSE.

Under tho title of 11 Three Weeks : Output a Dublin paper has made a collection of some of tho epithets which, during the time named, United Ireland has levelled at Mr. Balfour. From the height of its majestic dignity United Ireland professes supreme contompt for the Irish Secretary, and yet tho journal takes tho trouble to use, in speaking of him, just SO substantives, adjectives, and adverbs, few of which are ever employed in polite societv The epithets are ranged in alphabetical order, but there is no A—and that is a pity, as it gives tho list an incomplete appearace, There are, however, seven 'IBs," including " Bloody," " Blackguard," " Beastly," and " Brutal." There are five "Cs, beginning with Cromwell the Second," and five " Ds." " Dastardly" and " Dotes tables" being examples. The best "E" is " Execrables," and there are again seven " Fs," counting " Fluent, flippant liar" as one. "G" is "Garotter," " H" is Hypocrite ; and the " Is" include " Idiot" " Infamous," and I ■' Inhuman." There is neither a "J,' nor " K," but" Lily-livered coward" is one of the " Ls." The " Ms" are headed by " Murderer." " Narrow" i 3 almost a little compliment in this connection, but " Odious-," " Pilate," " Rullian," "Slanderer" (there arc eight " Ss," and 'Snob,' " Swindler," " Savage" follow), ''Thief," " Unspeakably Contemptible'" " Venomous Roptilc," and " Wriggler arc other specimens.
